Some interesting figures. Moving to the new ground will fail to improve Salford financially as a lot of revenue avenues have been blocked with, refreshments and sponsorship. I feel it will be only a matter of time before we follow the Bulls. Personally the buck has to stop with board members. Tarry has gone (maybe he knew what was round the corner and offered his resignation so he would crow away like the coward he is) Wilkinson and Clague will be next to come under fire. I don't know how the clubs fortunes can be changed unless the debts are wiped.

| You really are clueless as to how a business operates!
Ask who are the debts owed to? Answer, the largest amounts are owed to JW
Who will "Wilkinson and Clague will be next to come under fire" from? Given that JW owns something over 82% of the shares and therefore has complete control of the company are you saying he will come under fire from himself?
I don't think anyone who has taken a look at the published accounts would describe the situation as rosy, but given that JW has stated publicly that he is looking for other investors what else are you suggesting?
Your post doesn't really add much to the debate IMHO!

| Surely your the one who is clueless?
So because the club (SCR) is debt and the majority share holder is JW, you seem to think everything is fine? Are you for real? How can you accept that the company is continuing to run at a loss with no signs of improvement?
What I'm suggesting, would Wilkinson accept debt of Wilkinson Star and let the people of running the organization get away with it. I can accept JW wants investment but it appears that it's accepted that we just lose monies. Why has there been no change in the set up which is clearly flawed and incompetence within the rank?

| I won`t enter into the debate whether or not you are clueless Mr Programme Thrower as there is enough evidence on these forums from your previous posts to allow a Judge an easy decision.
However with regard to the Company you are merely stating the obvious. JAW & Co have clearly had enough of supporting the Company financially and unless EITHER the good people of Salford start supporting this great club in numbers or the Fairy Godfather that yourself Dantes Inferno, Mitie & lancetodd maintain is just around the corner appears then I agree that the inevitable will occur.
Unlike the four of you I do not apportion any blame on the Board who have allowed us to watch such wonderful spectacles as last night through their unpaid efforts as Directors and their financial generosity over the years.
I would not blame them one bit if they say enough is enough and just walk away at the end of the season. Whether they do or not would be all down to their own cash flow. We - as fans - have been very fortunate.

If you take the trouble to read BF's post he is far from clueless and he has not stated that everything is fine as you suggest.

| PT isn't far from the truth. Rumours suggest we're on the brink of going to the wall. I for one can't see any improvments in a business sense that justified this move. Free tickets are being given out left right and centre ever since this move, proving this project is failing even bumping up the attendances when we all know there's been no improvement whatsoever with the exception of more away support, and there never will be any improvement with this current leadership. The board actually thought a new stadium would solve everything. Well Mr Salford has failed us again WE SEEN IT COMING JOHN but you continue to fail in all you do with Salford RLFC. I'm sure your ass will be licked as usual by the blinkered love fest even when you lead us to the wall. How JW gets away with it in my eyes is nothing short of unbelievable. No wonder nobody wants to invest in this board or Salford, especially if the past 30 years are anything to go by. You must be mad to enter a business with this man.

| You Early Bath clearly have been indoctrinated by Wilkinson and co. So your blaming the Salford public for the demise of the club? If you went out with a survey for the good people of Salford and asked when do they play next or who was Salford's last result against, if out of 100 I'd be shocked if 10 new the answer. Now, whose fault is that then? The good people of Salford or the impenetrable people that work in the marketing and media departments you so seem to think? To blame to public is incredibly naive of your self. Then again you think We the paying fans have been very fortunate. Fortunate for what? Watching countless beatings over the years, like the one at Bradford in 2000 I think. What about promises of an iconic stadium? You think fans are fortunate to go to the club shop on their dinner only to find it's shut, then they go to call up to find no phone line has been installed? These are tip of the tongues examples but one could delve into the past there are numerous occasion the club has been shown to be amateurish at best. Remind me again who you think are the fortunate ones, the fans for the years of constant dribble or the club for the loyal 3000 who stick by them regardless.

| Could you two not mount a joint bid for the club? Presumably you're both wealthy men, given your obvious business expertise. It's about as likely as Fred Done / Pete Waterman / Rio Ferdinand etc. etc. making a bid.
And no DI, please don't take this as a ringing endorsement of Wilkinson's reign. I would be interested to know though given (admittedly possibly too little, too late) the sacking of Tarry, the bringing in of management consultants and the utter dearth of potential investors (no, don't insist that there might be a sheikh with an interest in rugby league lurking somewhere in Higher Broughton), what changes would you now like to see?

| I have long thought that PT & DI are one and the same and the similarity tonight in their responses (note the use of paragraphs etc). Mitie is probably a Swinton Fan & lancetodd just likes to be miserable - watch his face when Salford are doing well as he`s likely to be glum. When we are not performing he will be beaming. Just the way he is I suppose.
Now then PT or DI - whichever. I am a realist and have my own views. I dont know the back room staff (except Andrew who comes over well) so I am not privy to their performances but I agree the lack of marketing especially this season is there for all to see.
Look at Barton Airfield - their open day is tomorrow July 1st and I would guess everyone driving down the A57 would know about it - with notices every few yards - whereas even the finest mystic in the world driving down the same road wouldnt have known about our match v Warrington. Poor effort from the club.
Anyway as stouffer says - whats the alternative approach from you two? What is your plan? What can you come up with? What income can you produce to pay the overheads in the next month of app £200k? No matches in that time so its a tall order for you. Come on lads - you deride the Board - now come up with what you propose? We (the fans) are all ears.

| The club was losing money before JW took over, Brian Snape sold the Variety centre in 1976 to ease cashflow, the year Salford were Champions for the second time in 3 seasons but still the money wasn't coming in. The last 30 odd years has seen the same, Salford is not and never has been a rugby city, and as for a survey of 100 people I bet only 10 could answer who United's last opponents were at the end of last season. It is not only the club who are poor marketing, but the media coverage in general is very poor, this afternoon on the BBC news we got to see one Salford try and three of Wigans yet we had a massive victory hastly passed over. The Guardian covered the Wigan game and the local paper the MEN covered all three of last nights matches in one story and didn't send a reporter as it was a sindicated press story, the local radio station BBC Manchester based in Salford covered Wigan as usual. So it is an uphill struggle for Salford to actually get some stuff out there but the club are visiting schools out of the area that is marketing but the best advert was last night, just a pity so few people watch Rugby league on Sky.

| To be fair you all have ago at Programme thrower for telling the truth. Would it surprise any of us if we become insolvent tomorrow? No it wouldn't! We're not that far behind Bradford and before anymore here asks how I know that, I've had enough meetings with the board because I'm a concerned fan and they've told me the same. Salford RLFC will do well to last more than 5 years in the top flight! (Awaits abuse from ex salford uni and the rest of the Salford will win everything brigade!)

DI,PT,MM Etc are they Neil Barkers informants/fans who are continually being quoted in his articles?
