I wouldn't take Ellis ahead of our current 2nd row and can't see Ellis settling for a bench spot. |

He's a good player, but let's be honest, this isn't up there with us getting Morley when he came back. Ellis is solid and he'll help Hull's cause, but I'm not really bothered to be honest, I've only ever felt he was solid.

Ellis will be the best second rower in Super League when he comes over. Don't lose all ability to judge because you've got a decent team now.
As for the 'if we wanted him we'd have got him' nonsense, you have no power to outbid any club on an out of contract player other than in cap room. If anything, it's Wigan than will be kings of that next season as they have about half their squad being released. Obviously if Ellis was under contract and they wanted a fee, you might be the only club willing to offer one.
